Loves Park VFW Post 9759 hosted their annual Firefighters of the Year Award on April 18. The post honors one firefighter from Harlem-Roscoe Fire, North Park Fire, and Loves Park Fire each year from names each department had submitted. 2009 recipient from Harlem-Roscoe was Firefighter Tom Lake.
