February 4, 2005, at 1:14am, an employee of Waste Management at 13125 N. 2nd called and reported they had garbage trucks on fire. Chief Presley arrived and reported there were 3 garbage trucks fully involved with fire. Before the fire was extinguished, a 4th would be damaged by fire. Fire Investigator believe the cause to be electricl and that the fire started in the cab of one of the trucks. A company official estimates damage at over $500,000.
