Lieutenant Doug Wolfe joined the department January 1996. Doug was promoted to Lieutenant on April 1, 2009.

He is State Certified Firefighter II. He has completed Basic Company Officer Training, Hazardous Materials Awareness & LP Burn Thru IFSI, and taken classes in water supply, weather spotter, helicopter saftey, and NIMS. He is also a Fire Apparatus Engineer. He also attended the 40-hour Smoke Divers Class in 1997 in Rockford.

He currently serves as one of Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters Association Trustee, and is part of the Radio and Driving divisions. He is employed as a CNC machinist at Advanced Machine & Engineering.

Lieutenant Bob Stark joined the department on January 20, 2000. Bob was promoted to Lieutenant on July 1, 2009. Bob currently leads the Communications Division.

Bob is state certified Firefighter II with Hazmat Awareness, Communications Specialist and Emergency Vehicle operator. He has also taken FEMA, NIms, and Helicopter training classes.

Bob has served as Treasurer and Station #3 Trustee for the Harlem Roscoe Firefighters Association.

Bob is employed by Motorola, Schaumburg, Il. as a Systems Technologist.

Lieutenant Mike Huffman joined the department in the fall of 2000. He was promoted to Lieutenant on June 8, 2010. Mike became an EMT in 1993.

Mike is state certified FFII, Haz-mat Awareness, Emergency Roadway Extrication Technician, Instructor I, Haz-Mat Operations and is a Senior Fire Apparatus Operator.


Mike has taken numerous classes in: Vehicle extrication, Big Rig Rescue, New Vehicle Technology, RIT, Fireground Tactics, Rescue Company Operations and Smoke Divers and is NIMS compliant.


Mike is currently the HRFD Extrication Team leader, and TERC (Transportation Emergency Rescue Committee) Region 5 Chair and International Judge. Mike is also a lead Instructor for the Monroe Fire School in vehicle extrication, a Field Instructor for vehicle extrication for: IFSI, SAFE-safe and fast extrication-Milwaukee, NAVRA - North American Vehicle Rescue Association. Mike served two years as the Harlem Roscoe Firefighter’s Association’s Vice President.


Mike previously served eight years with North Park Fire prior to joining HRFD where Mike received a Certificate of Honor from the Office of Illinois State Fire Marshal for his heroism in helping save a young girl from her burning home. Mike is a 2-time Hurst Green Cross participant.

Lieutenant Ryan Alms joined the department in December of 2001. He became an EMT-B in May 2004. Ryan was promoted to Lieutenant on June 8, 2010.


Ryan is state certified FFIII with Hazmat Ops. He has taken numerous fire related classes including helicoper safety and large vehicle extrication. He is certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher and Nims compliant.

Ryan has been an Extrication Team Member since 2005.

Lieutenant Chris Scott joined the fire department in October of 2002. Chris was promoted to Lieutenant on July 11, 2010.

He is state certified FFII, Instructor I, and a Fire Apparatus Engineer. He has taken numerous classes through IFSI at Fire College in Champaign and classes such as helicopter safety, Haz Mat Awarenenss, and is NIMS compliant.

Lt. Tom Aaker joined the department January 1996. Tom was promoted to Lieutenant February 21, 2004. Tom became an EMT-B January 1997. Currently, he fills the role of Equipment Officer for Personnel, as well as Apparatus. Tom is also the Training Officer for the Department.

Tom is State Certified Fire Officer II, Firefighter III, Haz-Mat Ops, & NIMS Compliant. He has taken numerous classes in extrication, confined space, fire tactics, water supply, and has multiple state certifications on the awareness level. Tom also attended training with Nicor and ComEd in their regional training classes.

Tom received the Rookie of the Year Award in 1996 and the - Firefighter of the Year Award in 2006.

Lt. Ron Klaman joined the department in December, 1989. He was promoted to Lieutenant on January 27, 2007. Ron recertified as an EMT-B in June of 2005 after serving 2.5 years as an EMT-B in 1993-1995.

He is state certified FFII, Haz-Mat Opps, Instructor 1, Tactics and Strategies 1, Management 1 and is a Senior Fire Apparatus Operator. He has taken numerous classes including Operators class, Pierce's Aerial Training Class, EMS Mini-Con, Helicopter Training, etc. He currently heads the departments Cascade and SCBA Division.

Ron has served the Harlem Roscoe Firefighters Association as both President and Vice President. Ron is a third generation firefighter and his grandfather retired as the Assistant Chief of the North Park Fire Department. Ron is a journeyman Tool & Die maker/Mechanical Engineering Tech for Tower Tool & Engineering.

Lieutenant Jerry McCormick joined the department August 14, 1994. He was promoted to Lieutenant on January 27, 2007. Jerry became an EMT-B in 1995 and a Paramedic in 1999. He received the Loves Park VFW's FIrefighter of the Year Award in 2004.

He holds an Associates of Applied Science in Building Construction Technology and in Fire Science. Jerry is state certified FFII, Hazardous Materials Operations, Roadway Extrication, Instructor I & II, and Tactics & Strategies I & II. He was the first HRFD firefighter to be state certified as a Fire Apparatus Engineer & Fire Service Vehicle Operator. He holds certificates in Leadership I, II, & III from the National Fire Academy. He has attended classes at Monroe Fire School, IFSI at UofI for six years, FDIC in Indianapolis for five years, Mini Con in Freeport for seven years, and numerous classes throughout the region. He has also attended pump operators training through Akron Brass Manufacturing in Ohio. He also attended the 40-hour Smoke Divers Class in 1997 in Rockford.

He is currently an adjunct instructor for Monroe Fire School where he has instructed advanced SCBA and Search & Rescue for the past three years. He has been the lead instructor for the HRFD recruit class for the past six years and is the lead instructor for all pump operations and driving classes. He is also the Lt. in charge of the driving division.

Lt. Ramona Baldoni-Lake

 

 

Lieutenant Ramona Baldoni-Lake joined the department in September of 2001. She was promoted on April 20, 2008, to Lieutenant, becoming the first woman officer on the department. Ramona became an EMT-B in 2003 and an EMT-Paramedic in 2007. In 2006 she graduated Phi Theta Kappa with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Fire Science.

Ramona is state certified FFIII, Haz-Mat Operations, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Instructor I, Management I & II, Tatics and Strategy I & II, Trench Ops, Technical Rescue Awareness, and Rope Operations. Ramona also has Roadway Extrication and Auto II Training.

She is a certified CPR/AED Instructor through American Heart Association. Through the US Dept of Homeland Security she holds certification for FEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) "Train-the Trainer".

Ramona served four years as Treasurer for Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters Association. Ramona is employed by ATS Medical Staffing as a Paramedic.
