Station # 1

Station # 1 is the headquarters for the fire district and located approximately in the center of the district at 10544 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073. Station #1 was moved to its current location in 1994 after a complete renovation and addition to an existing building. The new building contained six apparatus bays, a cascade room, a generator room, a dispatch room, meeting rooms, Chiefs offices, several division offices, several storage rooms, a kitchen, a lounge, sleeping quarters, laundry room, and four restrooms. In 2005, two maintenance bays, a maintenance office, and a larger lounge were added.

The station has a generator that will fire up immediately in an emergency and power lights in the station, bay doors, and the dispatch room. The station is totally sprinklered, has an Air Cascade System room, and has overhead station fans that can completely replace the air in the station in five minutes.

Rescue vehicles stationed at #1 are 2-ALS Ambulances, 2-1000 gallon Engine/Pumpers, a 3000 gallon tanker, a Heavy-Duty Rescue Squad, a Minipumper, a Grass Rig, a Boat, a Technical Rescue Trailer, a Suburban, a Pickup, and a 100ft. Aerial Platform Unit.

Station #1 also has on duty, two full-time paramedics on 24/7, up to four day-time and four night-time duty shift personnel, as well as one dispatcher.
